Dr dread, I'm sorry, your recolored tiles look good BUT... I don't like them as much as mine:P Besides, with the new frame arround the board with the A,B,C and 1,2,3, etc (as you asked) I doubt the tiles will flow with the menu:P Here is what I'm going to do: I'm going to make it possible to change tilesets, and include both with the game. What do you say? I'll credit you, obviously.

Maybe you can also add something that if you highlite a piece, and click on it again, they highliting will be removed? That way you can 'rethink' again, without all the colours on your board... Smile

Okay, for the next beta version, all of Dr Dread's suggestions were implemented except #1 and #7 - #8 is not included but possible because I also added a tileset changing system. For this, all images now go in a single file, and Tommy's VDSIMAGE dll (my favourite ^_^) is used to split them when the program runs (this dll is really awesome, I use it in my Puzzles game, Tile Splitter and Merger, etc Very Happy ). Finally, it is now possible to dis-select an unit by right clicking it. Shortly all beta testers will recieve the download URl for the next beta version via PM. Feel free to create new tilesets and send me; they will be included with the game and you will be credited =) And keep suggesting stuff!

Looks ever better.

'Save game' feature works, but I cannot continue the game after loading a saved game.

In my opinion you should really consider replacing e.g. X7Y2 in the moves list with the proper b2 Wink

So far everything else seems fine Thumbs Up

PS: I think I'll make a tileset for it later.

Yes, I considered it, I just didnt have time to make that yet, but I will implement it for SURE, so don't worry. Also I think I can implement the view of the units one already lost, too, it's only a matter of drawing a few small sized symbols and adding some code, but, as I said, that goes in the end =)

Thanks for the new tileset, will be included Smile

Dread I played a bit with the save\load game thing and I am completely unable to make it freeze the game :-/ You have to tell me exactly how you did it, if you can reproduce the bug again.

I can.. I have it right now: I run the program, and then select "Load game". I get the successful load message,
I can use menus etc. but I cannot select any piece or make any move.

I could mail you the game file it you want to test it.

I have however also tried loading games with no problems...

A bit more info for ya: The problem occurs when I try to load a saved game right after the
program has been started. If a start a new game first and then load the saved one, it's OK Wink

Hm I found the problem, four missing INIFILE WRITE lines. When I release the next beta it will be fixed but old saved games will have this problem until they're re-saved with this new version:P
