Hi All,

I purchased VDS 6 earlier this year and need to redownload the software for reinstallation onto a new PC. I have sent various messages to Commercial Research, but I am yet to receive a response. Any ideas?

The original download link (i.e. for the full, non-demo version) that I received is no longer valid. I have my key, but just need the full version of the VDS 6 software.

You are able to download such files in the Registered Users' Area of the dialogscript.com web site.

Yes, but when I log in, it asks for a download ID (or something to that effect). What am I supposed to use?

(Regardless, shouldn't Commercial Research contact me with my information? The original information--from my original registration e-mail--does not seem to work. And I have full proof of my registration status.)

Hi Boo

login to your Dialod Script account...

Click on Account Maintenace

Then you should have your order listed...

Click on view

Then in the invoice there is a link... click on it and it will let you download your products

I ordered VDS6 and V-Setup on Jan 4th 08, and my links are still live

Thanks, but I already tried that. The link goes to an order page for VDS and states:

"You have already downloaded the file(s) the maximum number of times, or the download period has expired."

I need Commercial Research to reset the link, but again, I have not heard from them after myriad inquiries. Any other ideas are welcome.

Unfortunately this is true and I told CR that this would be an issue for people. My suggestion is that you contact CR and/or post this to the dialogscript.com forum. As far as I am concerned if you paid for a copy you should be able to download that version as many times as you wish as long as it does not cause other from downloading the same files in regards to bandwidth usage.

Hi Dragonsphere,

I have contacted CR various times, have posted onto the DialogScript.com forum, as well as onto this forum--all to no avail.

Fortunately, I was able to retrieve my copy of VDS 6 from my old notebook's harddrive (which crashed). It was tricky (i.e. had to do it from the commandline via a USB interface).

Regardless, I think CR should make the files more easily accessible to registered users. (I have shelled out a lot of money for VDS over the years; one would think that customer service would be better.)

This is exactly why I never ordered VDS 6.
I just am too afraid that I pay and will not get my product delivered.
Unfortunately CR is neglecting its customers dearly and no doubt that is scaring off customers, at least it did me.

A pity as VDS is still a great product Sad
