OK... I'm not sure how to put this, so i'll do as best as I can. I am trying to build a utility to help me do many different things. Anything from running SHELL Commands to running RUN, RUNH and RUNZ Commands.

I thought about trying to use variales for it, depending on what the TYPE line in the .INI file is, but it didn't work.
Code:

:B1BUTTON
  %%B4 = @INIREAD(TEST,TYPE,)
  %%B4 %%S7
  GOTO EVLOOP
[/code:1:fee7f8af62]
But it doesn't like it. How can I assign the SHELL and RUN, RUNZ and RUNH commands as variables according to what the ini file TYPE=ABC is set as??

All and any help or enlightenment is greatly appreciated!!!!!!

Unfortunenately, commands such as the VDS shell command, or Run, Runh, or Runz, cannot be run, as a variable assignment, at runtime, because it needs to be compiled into the script. Alternatively, you could read your .ini file, determine which command is appropriate, and branch to a subroutine to use one of those four commands, and then pass the DOS or windows (shell) command to that subroutine as a variable...

Enjoy,
Hooligan
