O.K. Bill,

I downloaded and ran it on my w2k development station (in the IDE), and got the following error:

Error: Invalid style at line 291
in file C:\vds\SSZip Demo.dsc

The line that was highlighted was:

sszip AddFolder,%F,%%pathToAdd,%%password,%%savePath

I was adding a folder to a new zipfile. I don't have a lot of time right time to play with it, but I'll see if I can reproduce it...

That's a strange error, and sounds like a VDS error. All my error codes
are negative numbers and can only be obtained by the @sszip(ZipError)
function. I will look into this also.

Thanks,

OK. I hate this, but here goes...

Anyone that has had thoughts of purchasing SSZip.Dll I strongly urge to
do it as soon as possible. It looks like I'm fixin to be homeless and I won't
be able to fill any registration requests after the next week or two. If and
when I get back on my feet, I'll be more than happy to fulfill those
registration requests, but as it looks like I'm gonna be on the streets,
it make take me some time to get back on my feet again.

Sorry for this post. Figured it was only right to let everyone know what
was going on. If this thread needs to be deleted, then so be it. Who am I
to argue?

Thanks for the support thus far.

Damn damn damn! I'm sorry, I was going to register but forgot. I'll try
to get that done before you go. Wish I could do more to help, but it's a
tight month here for me.

If I miss you, then I'll catch you when you are back up and running again.

Good luck to you if I miss you before you go. And I hope that you'll be
back soon. Smile

Hi Garrett,

Thanks. It's not your fault or anyone elses either. This has been oncoming
for awhile now, and unfortnately I currently live too far away from town to
do anything about it. It's kinda hard to drive to town when you don't even
have money to put in the gas tank to get there.

I've been doing hardwood floors, installing new ones mostly, for the past
eleven years, but it has taken it's toll on my knees. I can't do it anymore.
Actually construction of any type because of the strain on my knees. Since
I don't have any credential that say I can do anything else, it's really hard
for me to find work. Granted I have alot of skills and knowledge, without a
piece of paper saying that I can do something, most people won't even
look at my application, let alone hire me. I'm really stuck between a rock
and a hard place.

I'm considering moving out of Tennessee, but again with no money that's
gonna be hard to do also. As you know, I think, my programming skills
are self taught but I still don't know all I need to know as far as that goes
either.

On that note, anyone looking for a blossoming programmer, please feel
free to email me. I am willing to relocate.

Anyway, thanks again Garrett.

Hope to see you back here soon Bill. You can try to freelance some of your programming skills at websites like http://www.elance.com and http://www.scriptlance.com. The problem is you'll be competing against others that are willing to work for 10 cents per day Sad and a lot of businesses are hiring people for the quantity rather than the quality of work nowadays.

Thanks FF,

Like I said in a previous post, I've got at the most two weeks before the
crap really hits the fan. I may be able to work things out between now and
then, but the way my luck has gone so far this year, I'm not gonna hold
my breath.

Embarassed
Just got back from holidays and than I read this.........
Boy how rotten I feel about your situation Bill.
Unfortunately there's little I can do for you from Holland, but I really hope you can get things together again.

No qualifications? Anyone who can crack algoritmes like those of the Zip-format has definitely shown he is a well qualified programmer who can handle any programming job.

Good luck Bill, I hope to hear from you again soon with more positive news.

Thanks for everyone's support. I'm kinda situated again, at least I have a
roof over my head, but the job search still continues. I still won't be able
to give the support I'd like to give for my products, but I will do what I can
when I can.

On another note, I've recieved an email from a user running Windows
2003 that is having problems with long filenames. Has anyone else had
this kind of problem?

I'm really trying to provide quality software, but if I don't know what the
problems are, I cannot fix them. So please, report any bugs or even
possible bugs to shinobisoft@vdsworld.com .
