GeoTrail it's for some Netherlands holiday or something. I don't really
know what it is but since the majority of site team members
are stationed in the Netherlands they decorated the site with their
holiday. Wink

So I decorated my avatar for Thanksgiving. But no, this board is not
a religious message board. Smile

From what I gather it's a celebration of St. Nicholas (santa claus is what many people call him) Smile So it's basically Christmas for the non-religious Smile

Hey I'm willing to celebrate anything as long as I can get some free candy and free presents Smile

Sinterklaas (or St. Nicholas) is the "ancestor" of your Santa Claus... Smile Basicly, we celibrated Sinterklaas over here, after which some Dutch people brought it to America. They changed it in Santa Claus (watch how the names are about the same... Smile) and brought it back to Europe... Wink

So we have the same celebration twice a year... Wink
