If we're talking classic server hits, it's not the best figure to use coz each single page element including graphics etc. is
counted as an individual hit so just a single page fetched can increment the hit count by many hits. If you wanna talk
advertising, a much more neutral picture will be given by using the number of page requests (not including the
page used by forum checkers ..), unique visitors, or user sessions.

Seeing as downloads are only like 2000 out of a million, if people actually
start using the spotlight service we will probably integrate a
spotlight text into all forums and other site parts. Smile

The majority of these hits are actually to the forums. Wink

If you think about it, the number of sessions is still pretty surprising.
We get almost 100,000 unique visitors (at least for January 1st
to today) Wink

BTW, we are using a top of the line product for statistical information,
Urchin Statistics, if you would like to know how this number was obtained. Smile

Right. Mind ya, I wasn't trying to put down your stats but I'm webmaster for half a dozen sites and I know
that when it gets down to ads and stuff I never get asked 'bout hits but rather something like visitors or
sessions...

It's great that the site here gets so many visitors and surely it's the right place to flash your software if you're
into commercial VDS add-ons.
