I've been testing a patched version of ZA Pro 3, and the problem seems to be resolved in this patch. Didn't notice any side effects of their fixing it either.
I don't know when they plan to release this patched version.

Is the fix in the current version of ZonaAlarm?
I checked on their web site and here's the history of fixes:
April 1, 2002
New and improved features in ZoneAlarm Pro version 3.0.118:
MailSafe now quarantines 46 different attachment types by default
Addresses issues with Diablo II and other software titles on Windows 9x operating systems
Addresses proxy server issues with software such as Webwasher and Proxomitron
Includes additional performance improvements
Panel tabs have been redesigned for improved visibility
MailSafe security and usability improvements
March 18, 2002
New and improved features in ZoneAlarm Pro version 3.0.091:
Improved performance
Improved stability
Operates with less system resource usage
Installer/uninstaller improvements in both usability and functionality
Addresses ICS/NAT issues on Win 9x
----------------------
Since there's there not mention about Petite compression, I guess it's not in the current release. But I'm not sure since I dont use ZoneAlarm at all.
Could anyone confirm with the version of April 1,2002 of ZoneLabs that everything is OK or NOT?
Thanks in advance |

Sorry, I haven't checked if they implemented the fix yet. I've been so busy, that I'm still using the patch they sent me.
