I'd like to see one of the chat/IM projects going or the shell.

Yes I'd like to see this one get developed. It's been 'started' numerous
times by a variety of people but nobody ever helped really. _________________ FreezingFire

| The previous Windows server which hosted vdsworld was extremely slow and would crash often. I'm really happy that we've moved it over to the dedicated servers. Windows is nice but on a shared system it's just going to cause way too many problems. |

This is a really nice server now. It's fast, reliable, and is carefully
maintained by Prakash.
I also agree that with a Windows server, you may be able to run Windows
programs, however, it lacks some features such a .htaccess that Apache/
Linux support. _________________ FreezingFire

| Actually .htaccess is available on Windows servers. I'm not sure if IIS supports it or not but I know Apache on Windows will support it. |

Oh. OK, see, my whole Windows Server experience has been with IIS.
I didn't think about Apache for Windows Servers. _________________ FreezingFire

And I prefer using the OmniHTTPd Pro server for Windows.

Actually if you're using FP extensions on your IIS server you can create
protected sub webs creating the same effect as using .htaccess,
although .htaccess is certainly easier.

We could pick on Moke for using VDS 3 though.

Hey now! I am nowhere near as old as Mac that's almost impossible . I'm certain I can take whatever abuse is required of me for the good of the VDSWORLD community.
