Poor lavasoft (makers of Ad-Aware). Microsoft just put out their new anti-spyware software, more than likely it will be bundled with new versions of Windows as well as any service packs for XP that may be released.

If you didn't know, MS also purchased an antivirus company a little over a year ago and are planning on releasing an antivirus solution with Windows LongHorn (code name) once it's released. |

the info looks good but knowing miscrosoft, i would like to see the program at work before deciding how good it is as they don't always do their best with their software and they don't always have the customers in mind when they design their stuff
lavasoft may not have anything to worry about if microsoft's attempt is nothing more than a notepad version of a word processor - if you know what i mean

I think they bought out the GiantAntiSpyware software and are using that as the Microsoft AntiSpyware. As usual microsoft innovates by buying others out |

| They did buy out Giant AntiSpyware. Giant AntiSpyware was a very good product which I had a few customers purchase and which I am still using until my license expires. I do not like some of the changes that microsoft has made because of course they stop blocking any of thier software and the MS version does not remove cookies. |
