|
|
My mind is blank!
If I have COMBO element with the LIST style, populate the LIST with LIST LOADTEXT etc., How do I put the first item into the COMBO element so that it displays the first item.
I have done it before, but I have completely forgotten how
Thanks in advance! _________________ Andrew GRAY

| Code: | DIALOG ADD,COMBO,name,50,50,50,50,,,SORTED
dialog set,name,@item(1)
dialog set,name,@text(1)
list assign,name,%%text |

No, I meant something like this:-
| Code: |
DIALOG ADD,COMBO,PLSI,410,16,130,21,1000000.00,,LIST
LIST LOADTEXT,PLSI
"1,000,000.00
"2,000,000.00
"3,000,000.00
"4,000,000.00
"5,000,000.00
|
DIALOG SET,PLSI,"1,000,000.00" does not work, as you have to select the item in the list somehow, but I have forgotten how!

Try to remove the LIST parameter in your code and you'll probably see it working.....
Not quite sure why though

No, I want the user to be only able to chose the items in the drop down list! If LIST is omitted then the user can input anything they like into the list.
I just want to populate the dialog with the first item in the list which DIALOG SET does not do.
I have done it before, I have just forgotten how!

Ah!
This works:-
| Code: |
DIALOG ADD,COMBO,PLSI,410,16,130,21,1000000.00,,LIST
LIST LOADTEXT,PLSI
"1,000,000.00
"2,000,000.00
"3,000,000.00
"4,000,000.00
"5,000,000.00
LIST SEEK,PLSI,0

Then do this
| Code: | DIALOG ADD,COMBO,PLSI,10,16,130,21,,,LIST
LIST LOADTEXT,PLSI
"1,000,000.00
"2,000,000.00
"3,000,000.00
"4,000,000.00
"5,000,000.00
list seek,PLSI,0 |
