|
|
| Just wanted to poll you guys and ask how the server speed for vdsworld is. I've recently added mod_gzip and the Zend Php Optimizer to the server, this should optimize server speed. Is the server loading fast, decent or bad? Also please post your internet connectoin speed (56k, cable, dsl, etc). |

Loading pretty quick for me. I'm using a cable modem. _________________ Bill Weckel

No difference here, but I'm on 28k. I prolly couldn't tell
if it was being powered by a hamster on a wheel...

| I should have probably posted this message in a few days, as of this last week there was a major Ddos attack on all of rackshack's network thus slowing down the servers and even in some cases putting the servers offline for periods of time. This might be the reason the site loads slower for you Serge. I did notice for the past few days even before I added Zend or mod_gzip that the servers load slightly slower then normal because of the Ddos attacks and Rackshack having to re-route all traffic. Should be resolved in a few days once Rackshack contacts all ISP's that are unknowingly being used to launch the Ddos attacks. |

My initial connection seemed slower this AM.
But browsing through the forums seemed fine.
So guess I would choose DECENT at DSL
Regards

Everything seems pretty fast with 56k here. The forums are a bit slower
but the rest of VDSWORLD is exceptionally fast. _________________ FreezingFire
