Windows treats exe resource identifiers as ATOMs' and it loads the identifier into the exe's local atom table. ATOM's can be either a string or a number depending on how you define them. If you set a resouce id as a string windows will use the string to identify the resource. If you set it as a number then windows will use a string representation of the number (ie.. #101 = 101 as a number) so either can be used.
This is why you will notice inside of the resource section of a Exe or DLL that you have some resources identified as numbers while others use a name hence the idea of a "Named Resource". _________________ Home of
