moving...

Maybe some good off-topic debates. Keep in mind debates, not

projects started over the last year. How about we hear from those
who participated in those update us on the status of some of those
projects?

Those are just some of the open source projects that I saw. Anyone
have any news etc... on those?

I think a lot of those up and died because people weren't interested in them. Even my ProSetup installer was booming with activity once but
then everybody lost interest and nobody helped anymore. I made it
open-source so that other people would help out and they did -- until
the end when it really counts. I think that should be finished but I didn't
know how to do it.

Nobody's really said anything much all day except you and I. Confused

Yes its very interesting that MOST open source project posted never were updated at all.

Yup this forum is verrrrrryyyyy quiet... I must admit I drop in from times to times.. but not like before.

Where is Tommy? Surely he must be done with exams by now! It's been quite different since some of the old timers (not relative to age) stopped coming around as often as they used to.

As for myself, I have put most of my projects on hold until VDS 5 comes out. All I can say is that I'm glad my job entails more than just programming because I'd be quite hungry by now.

Open source projects... it is too bad that they haven't been taken up and developed more than they have been. Quite a bit of work has been put in on some of them but then people get busy with their own projects and have little time for other things. I know I do. At any one time I have a least 5 or 6 projects that I'm actively developing and I'm coming up with more ideas all the time. It's hard to find time for other people's ideas, but since we're all bored maybe we should fire up VDS and pitch in some effort on the open source projects.

So if you're on hold with your projects while waiting for VDS 5, and you
think others are doing the same.... Hmmmmmm..... Twisted Evil

Instead of waiting, maybe some of you can get together for a few days on
one of the open source projects. I know it's not much time, but at least
it will give you all something to do while waiting for VDS 5.
