I have been looking for an alternative to VDS6 for sometime and have come across Real Studio 2011 Release 1 which includes a web edition, BUT is very expensive.
What do the panel think?

RealBASIC is over priced and way too bloated. Check out the size of a compiled exe from it.
Other than that, it's a nice basic syntax and you can do quite a lot with RealBASIC.
You might also consider Revolution, or LiveCode as I think they call it now. But it also is a bit expensive. It's based on the old HyperCard from Apple and MetaCard. It's a 4GL language and is cross platform as well as a web platform now also.

I haven't upgraded since like version 3.5 myself, so it's passed me by and I don't really know what it's like right now. _________________ 'What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others.' - Confucius (550 b.c. to 479 b.c.) |
